Zaplana is a small village in the hills to the west of Vrhnika in the Inner Carniola region of Slovenia.[2]
The Parish Church in the settlement is dedicated to Saint Ulrich and belongs to the Ljubljana Archdiocese.[3]
The Second President of Slovenia Janez Drnovšek lived and died in Zaplana.
